Geobotany

Geobotany is a branch of botany that studies the relationship between plants and their environment. Specifically, it focuses on how environmental factors such as climate, geology, soil, and topography influence the distribution, diversity, and evolution of plant communities. Geobotany aims to understand the patterns and processes that govern the spatial and temporal variation of vegetation, as well as the ecological and evolutionary mechanisms that underlie these patterns. This knowledge can be applied to a variety of fields, including ecology, biogeography, conservation biology, and land management.
