Gemmiparous

Gemmiparous refers to a type of asexual reproduction found in certain organisms, such as some plants, fungi, and invertebrates, where new individuals are produced from specialized buds or outgrowths called "gemmules" or "buds." These gemmules contain all the genetic information needed to develop into a complete organism, and can grow into a new individual either immediately or after a period of dormancy. Gemmiparity is an adaptation that allows for rapid reproduction and population growth, particularly in environments where sexual reproduction is not possible or advantageous.
